E - Collar Training
Nothing beats seeing your dog off lead!
I own a dog with high prey drive myself, I spent years trying to find a way to get my dog off lead. I have work with various trainers. No, luck he did great while on lead the minute he was off lead the training would go out the window.
I have been in your shoes, I know what it feels like to have a dog that ignores you while off lead. It does not have to be prey it can be another dog or person.
E- collar training, gets your dog off lead in few weeks and you always have a back up if your recall fails.
Have a look at the videos of me training dogs with an e -collar on the right and below my client testimonials.

Common Questions
-
Short for electronic collar
There is a small transmitter attached to the dogs’ collar and a hand held remote.
A hand-held remote is wired to send signals to the dogs neck from his owner’s hand, anywhere from a few hundred meters to a mile apart, depending on the model.

High quality e-collars utilize the same technology that’s used in a TENS unit; it’s a muscle stimulator. At low levels, this is a weird tapping sensation that feels kind of like a tap-tap-tap on the shoulder.
Now, at higher levels the e-collar can of course be uncomfortable. However, that can be a LIFE SAVER. The higher levels of the e-collar are used to stop your dog from doing something he isn’t supposed to do. Running toward traffic? Toward a wild animal? Toward a cliff? Toward an unfriendly dog? -
Even fully trained dogs can make mistakes, get distracted and caught up in the moment, or make bad choices (maybe that deer in the woods seemed worth it.
I personally own a dog that has high prey drive and without an e - collar would spend his life on lead .

No, you should not think it is. The dog still needs to be trained an e - collar is layered over existing training.
Without any prior training the collar will only confuse the dog.
Long term, it allows you to communicate with your dog even when they are at a distance from you. -
Training can take anywhere from 4 - 8 weeks depending on the dog and the situation.
You will have plenty of homework in-between sessions. The hard work pays off as you dog will listen to you at the end of training and have full off lead freedom -
Yes, I believe this is the only way to have your dog safely off lead if they do chase animals.
The reason I started e - collar training dogs as I own a dog with high prey drive. He could not be let off lead as he would blow off all recall.
