Obedience & Neutrality Class
12th of May at 7pm

Tired of not being able to walk past a dog without yours pulling to say hello to them?
Would you like a dog that actually listens to cues?

Perfect class to proof your training around other people and dogs. Learn more why your dog ignores you on walks and pulls towards all dogs to play. Build motivation for food and toys that can be used as great rewards in training. No judgement in this class just dog owners working together.

What do I mean by Obedience and Neutrality? That your dog can listen to cues around distractions and be able to walk past other dogs and people without pulling towards them. So you no longer have to say my dog is great until another dog shows up and their recall fails.

What is included?

  • A 4 week 1 hour class

  • The class happens every 2 weeks to give you a chance to practise the skills you learned (dates of the classes at the bottom of the page)

  • Last class in a real world setting to make sure you know how to use the training out on walks

  • Group WhatsApp support for the whole duration of the course. Yes, you can message me daily and send videos of you training for feedback

  • How to build motivation for food and toys so dogs want to interact with you more on walks

  • How to manage your dogs arousal - avoiding it is not the answer!

  • Practise and learn how to teach recall, engagement and loose lead walking skills. As well as emergency stops and downs

  • Work on your dogs impulse control and ability to think in exciting situations

  • Most of all actually get to practise these skills around other dogs and people

Is it suitable for my dogs?

  • Dog must be at least 6 months old at the start of the class, no younger as an hour class will be too long for them. Otherwise, any age is suitable. Even old dogs can learn and change their habits don’t believe the ‘old dogs can’t learn new tricks’.

  • All breeds welcome

  • You will not be kicked out of my class, I may suggest we move to one to one if the class is too much for your dog.

  • They must be dog and human friendly. If you dogs reacts out of frustration not being able to say hello to dogs or people I am happy for them to join. But only if they get to the dog or person they no longer react and want to play. If your dog is nervous of dogs or people please book onto my ‘Reactivity Class’.

  • Be prepared to put in the work between the classes, I am there to show you the skills but you will need to train with your dog. If you are after a quick fix, it doesn’t exist.

  • If you train in a force free or a balanced way you are welcome to my classes. However, please listen to directions given by me in class even if I train differently from you or trainers you have worked in the past with.
